Creative Director Sadie Kaye started in television as a children’s TV presenter on TVB, ITV, Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. She’s devised, co-written, presented and performed in comedy and entertainment series for indies and broadcasters in London, including the BBC, Maverick, E4, Channel 4, MTV, cable & web.
In 2012 she played shambolic presenter Miss Adventure (a role she had been inadvertently rehearsing for her entire career) in an improvised skit with rock band Motorhead, before taking the character onto RTHK Radio 3. She’s recently been writing and performing as ‘Miss Adventure’ in comedy sketch shows and a mockumentary, Fake News.
Sadie’s produced & presented documentary shorts and feature-length films with a social enterprise purpose for Sky, Discovery, Channel 4 and France 3, including Sailing Miss Sadie, Ship of Fools, Tucker’s Luck, Wild Horses, Polo Field of Dreams, Hug a Hoodie & The CSJ Awards.
In 2015 she produced and presented a documentary about bipolar disorder for RTHK. The Bipolar Express was Highly Commended by the Association for International Broadcasting in the Creative Feature category at the 2015 AIBs. The following year, it won an internal RTHK Award.
Her sequel doc, As Bad As It Gets, is due to air on RTHK in 2019. She’s presenting a weekly podcast for RTHK and Mental Ideas exploring innovative approaches to tackling mental health. The Mental Ideas Podcast launches in 2019. She’s founder of non-profit groups Mental Ideas and Bipolar Hong Kong, an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust, co-founder of Art Saves Lives International and patron for the Reformed Foundation.
